Terms of Service

Welcome to Clement & Co Jewellers. By accessing our website and purchasing our timepieces, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Authenticity & Components

  • Guaranteed Authenticity: We guarantee that the head (case, movement, and dial) of every timepiece sold by Clement & Co Jewellers is 100% authentic. We do not sell counterfeit watches.

  • Service Parts & Accessories: As we specialise in pre-owned pieces, some watches may have been fitted with high-quality replacement parts during their lifespan to ensure continued functionality.

  • Straps & Bracelets: To provide the best value and presentation, some watches may be supplied with brand-new, non-branded (aftermarket) leather or rubber straps. This will be clearly stated in the individual product description. Original bracelets/buckles will only be included where specifically mentioned.

  • Photography: High-resolution images form a primary part of the product description. Any aesthetic marks or non-original accessories visible in the images provided at the time of sale will be deemed "disclosed" to the buyer.

2. Pricing and Payments

  • Price Errors: We reserve the right to cancel any order placed for a product that was listed at an incorrect price due to typographical or system errors.

  • Payment Security: All payments must be cleared in full before any item is dispatched. We reserve the right to request additional identity verification for high-value transactions to prevent fraudulent activity.

3. Shipping & Risk of Loss

  • Method: All UK orders are shipped via Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm®.

  • Transfer of Risk: The risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to the customer at the moment the item is signed for at the delivery address provided.

  • Address Accuracy: We are not liable for any loss resulting from incorrect address details provided by the buyer.

4. Right of Withdrawal & Returns (UK Distance Selling)

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations:

  • Notification: You have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt. You must notify us in writing (email) within this period.

  • Condition for Refund: Items must be returned in the exact condition they were dispatched. This includes all original boxes, booklets, and accessories.

  • Handling: If the value of the watch is diminished by any amount as a result of handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the goods (e.g., wearing the watch, removing links, or damaging the case), we reserve the legal right to deduct this amount from the refund.

  • Return Costs: The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs and insurance. We strictly require the use of Royal Mail Special Delivery (Fully Insured).

5. Warranty Claims

Our mechanical warranty is a "return to base" warranty.

  • The buyer is responsible for shipping the watch back to Clement & Co Jewellers for inspection.

  • If a fault is found to be covered under the warranty terms, we will repair the item and return it at our expense.

  • If the fault is found to be caused by misuse, accidental damage, or water ingress, the warranty is void and a repair quote will be provided.

6. Limitation of Liability

Clement & Co Jewellers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the products sold. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the specific item in question.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
